This Is horrible, I don't know why a man would do this to his kids, or anyone for that matter. I hope the family helps th girl get through this. This is a sad case to report. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers

San Jacinto County father has been arrested after two of his children were shot, one fatally, as officers tried to serve an arrest warrant at his Coldspring home Monday afternoon.
Predrag Perisic, 54, formerly of La Porte, is charged with murder in San Jacinto County and interference with child custody in Harris County, law enforcement officials said. Bond on the murder charge was set at $1 million. No bond was set on the interference charge.
Officers with the Texas Attorney General's Office Cyber Crime Task Force, Houston Metro Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and deputies with the San Jacinto County Sheriff's Officewent to Perisic's home at 21 Red Bird Lane in Coldspring at about 5 p.m. Monday to serve the arrest warrant for child custody interference, reports show.
The officers had cleared the first story of the residence and walked upstairs to the second floor when they heard gunshots coming from the rear of the house.
When officers arrested Perisic, they found his two children — a 12-year-old girl and a 10-year-old boy - had been shot. Officers believe the children were shot by their father, a sheriff's office press release states.
The 10-year-old boy, Deyan Perisic, was rushed to Memorial Medical Center in Livingston, where he was pronounced dead in the emergency room. The 12-year-old girl, Danyel Perisic, was flown by medical helicopter toMemorial Hermann Hospital, where she is listed in stable condition today.
Predrag Perisic had been charged Nov. 5 with interference with child custody, a state jail felony offense, following a La Porte Police Department investigation, records show.
The criminal complaint accuses the children's father of failing to return them Nov. 3 to their mother, a La Porte woman who had been granted custody of the youths by a Superior Court in the Province of Quebec in Canada.
Perisic was supposed to return the children to their mother at her attorney's office in Houston that day, but never showed up, the criminal complaint states.
The mother's neighbors in La Porte told police they last saw Perisic and the children Oct. 31 when he was driving a 2000 gray Jeep Cherokee, a vehicle that authorities later discovered had been reported stolen in Seattle, the criminal complaint shows.
La Porte police also discovered neither child had attended school since Oct. 25 and that their father had contacted the schools on Oct. 26 to inform staff that the children would no longer be attending classes since they were returning to Canada.
Both Perisic and the children's mother are Canadian citizens, court records show. He had filed for divorce from her earlier this year.

The San Jacinto County Sheriff's Office would not comment or answer any questions about the shootings today and referred all questions to the San Jacinto County District Attorney's Office. The prosecutor handling the case in the district attorney's office did not immediately respond to inquiries from the Chronicle.
